Group Family Costume Ideas
When it’s time to trick or treat, many families like to make an event out of it, and they dress up in group family costumes instead of individual ones. There are many options for group family costumes, you just have to pick one that your entire family can agree on!
The Addams Family is a fun retro group costume idea because you have the mother and father, Gomez and Morticia, plus the children, Wednesday and Pugsley. If you have more people in your entourage, you can even tack on the Butler Lurch or Grandma Frump. Disney or Pixar shows are a popular theme for families who want to dress up as a group. You could all do Toy Story, with Mom and Dad being Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head or a mixture of Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear or Bo Peep. The kids can dress up as those characters, or as the Alien, Hamm, Zurg, Army Man or even Rex!
Shrek is another good movie character costume idea for the whole family. Mom and Dad can be Princess Fiona and Shrek, and the kids can either be the Shrek babies or other characters, like Donkey and Gingerbread Man.
There are many more ideas you can think about, too! How about a classic show like The Flintstones? Fred and Wilma are perfect for Mom and Dad and then the kids can be Pebbles and Bam Bam (they come in toddler or teen sizes, depending on how old your kids are). If you have others going with you trick or treating or to a party, you can add Dino, Betty or Barney to the group!
