Superhero Costumes for Girls
Evil lurks where we least expect, with the intention of stamping out good everywhere, and whether in the light of day, or even in the dark night, there will arise a superhero! Halloween is the perfect time to let the superhero in every little girl shine. Some of the girl superhero costumes you’ll find will have a very modern flair to them and they’ll be patterned after some pretty popular movies and their heros.
The idea behind these popular superhero costumes has been around for many years and will continue to stick around. The dark leather clothed superhero from the Batman comic series was Catwoman. Even though technically she was out to trip up Batman and was originally cast as a villain, this beloved superhero just wouldn’t stay bad and she came to represent strength and power for girls, so it’s no surprise this is a fast selling costume. And as mothers, we certainly want to empower our girls, enabling them to rise to every challenge and succeed.
The Catwoman costume is available in the customary black that’s shown in the popular movie featuring this feminine cat of the night or you can find it in softer colors. And let’t not forget Batgirl. There were also many superheroes that would not stay in the night but boldly fought for truth and justice in the broad daylight and one of those superheroes was Supergirl.
This hero belongs in Superman’s family. Her costume is noticeable because of the same trademark blue and red that Superman wore. With a bright red cape, knee-high boots and the Super “S” logo, this is one costume that will fly off the shelves everywhere.
Right along the same lines of the Supergirl costume are the costumes that pay homage to Spiderman. Now, any girl can dress up as the counterpart to the crime fighting spiderweb-friendly hero when she wears one of the Spidergirl costumes.
The colors are the same blue and red with the spider and web design on the chest area of the costume, or if your little girl prefers pink, you can do that, too. This costume is complete and all you have to do is add the shoes and webbed gloves.
Remember wonderful superhero from the Wonder Woman TV show? Now a girl can dress up just like that crime-fighting all woman superhero in the one of a kind Wonder Woman costume. The blue skirt with the white stars always stood out as did the headpiece and striped boots.
Still popular today are the Power Ranger figures and girls can dress up as the pink Power Ranger that comes with the jumpsuit and matching mask. And let’s not forget those amazing Power Puff Girls for a big dose of girl power.
No one can forget the teenager Violet from The Incredibles and in the jumpsuit with the black eye mask. Trick or treat time this year will be all treat. Also unforgettable is Black Widow from the Avengers. The black jumpsuit she wore in the movie can be found now in the identical costume that comes with wristcuffs.
