Disney Costumes for Girls

When you mention Disney Costumes for Girls, everyone has heard of the great princess costumes that you can find for Halloween that are associated with the much-loved Disney movie characters.

First there is Cinderella. Who could forget her or the handsome prince? Remember the angst when the glass slipper got left behind? Then, there was Aurora who could only be awakened by love’s true kiss. Both of these costumes are elegant and beautiful.

Snow White was the princess who wore the beautiful dress with the puff sleeves and sometimes, this sweet natured girl wore the red cape with the dress, but not always. You can get the costume with or without that cape and you can also get the Snow White costume that’s more modern and has red leggings instead of a cape.

The princess collection of costumes continue in the Tiana costume (from the Princess and the Frog), in the Jasmine costume (Aladdin movie) and of course Ariel (from the Little Mermaid).

The movie Tangled renewed interest in the lovable heroine Rapunzel and showed her to be a captivating and spunky heroine. Girls love the bright purple of the dress that Rapunzel wore when she was stuck up in the tower and that costume can be purchased just in time for Halloween.

But there’s also the wedding costume that this heroine wore in the movie and that beautiful white gown and tiara was the perfect outfit for her happily ever after. A feisty heroine that earns a spot as a top seller is the Merida costume. The movie Brave inspired girls everywhere with this princess who wouldn’t quietly accept what was to be her life when it wasn’t what she wanted. She chose to stand up for what she wanted and became a strong role model.

One costume that’s full of pixie fairy cuteness is the Tinker Bell costume. She’ll be the brightest fairy of the night in this movie inspired costume with the fairy wings that easily attach to the back. Also in the fairy line of costumes is the Vidia costume, which is bright in color and is a great contrast to the Tinkerbell ones that are soft pastel.

My favorite was Belle from Beauty and the Beast. When Belle whispers to the Beast that she loves him, breaking the spell just before that last rose petal is about to reach the floor, I swear my heart stopped. It was a hard won happy ending, but such a beautiful one.

Some of the major Disney characters are villains that command a lot of attention when played opposite the hero or heroine and Maleficent is one such villain. Her costume for girls is as dark as her nature and includes the horn shaped headpiece.

Another evil villain that little girls would love to dress as for Halloween is the Evil Queen from Snow White. This costume comes with the dress, the stand up collar and the tiara fit for a queen. Any girl will be the fairest in all the land when wearing this delightful costume.
