Superhero Costumes for Boys

September 7, 2012 | By More

Halloween is so much fun to look forward to. Dressing up as a superhero to fight for justice (and get lots of treats) is something that will make an unforgettable Halloween night as well as lots of fun at Halloween parties. Plus, once the trick or treating is over with, the superhero costumes for boys are a lot of fun to wear while playing!

There are plenty of superheroes to choose from, but of course, some of the heroes will always be favorites, like Batman. That caped crusader who flew in to rescue the helpless whenever he saw the Bat Signal is a true hero of the night.

Now any boy can be a hero in the jumpsuit with cape. Since Batman wore a black jumpsuit but was sometimes shown in a blue one, you can get the costume in either color. It was the television Batman in the 1960s that rocked the blue costume. Whichever costume you do get comes with the belt, gauntlets and headpiece with the famous pointy ears.

Hero Batman has a sidekick in Robin. This masked friend who would often show up in the nick of time to help Batman round up the bad guys has a great costume. You’ll find these costumes in colorful red and green or in the red and yellow. Both costume colors also come with a cape.

Every boy loves Spiderman and this character has a cool costume. The web covered chest portion with the spider centered in the middle is just like the real superhero Spiderman wears.

The red and blue jumpsuit will fight for justice long after Halloween is over. But for the stealthiest crime fighting, this costume also comes in black and has the muscled chest piece and head covering mask.

When the Avengers hit the big screen, it brought to mind the powerful superheroes and boys everywhere want to dress like these larger than life characters. Captain America with his bright red and blue costume and strong shield was a favorite.

But Iron Man ranked right up there in the favorites as well. His red and gold costume comes in a variety of styles, including the awesome one that has glow in the dark pieces for your son to wear.

Thor, with the black costume and red cape while carrying the hammer, is sure to be a powerful force during the spooky treat night. The Hulk costume is another winner for Halloween night and the green muscled outfit with the torn off pants is a replica from the Avenger’s movie.

The Green Lantern is a hero whose costume comes with a light up or non light up material. He fights the bad, stands up for the good and his costume comes with the signature ring the Green Lantern wears. I think the Green Lantern is my favorite of all the superheroes.

Tried and true favorites for boys of all sizes are the Superman costumes, but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costumes and the Power Ranger costumes have been favored for years as well. And the Ninja Turtles have made a comeback! Your little boy can pick his favorite: Michaelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, or Leonardo.
